Working with Christopher and Michael was an absolute dream. When we originally spoke to Christopher about his plans to propose to Michael at Balboa Park, we knew we would instantly love them. Christopher had been planning to propose for over two years. After meeting with one of his closest friends, Johnny Sciortino (johnnybaba.com), to design the perfect ring, he knew the next step was to pick the perfect location that would mean so much to both them. Originally he has planning to proposal on a lovely coffee farm in Columbia to celebrate their mutual love of coffee. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances arose and they had to fly home the day before the proposal was planned. For the year that followed, Christopher had been searching for the perfect location but, you know… 2020. The pandemic made finding his dream proposal spot extremely challenging, especially since it was always important to Christopher that this life-changing moment was captured at a venue that reflected both of their interests. Finally after two years, Christopher found their spot, and he and Michael made the trip to San Diego with custom Johnny Sciortino rings in hand to Balboa Park. It was a perfect place that blends both Christopher’s love of architecture and Michael’s passion to travel and explore new cities. After playing coy and pretending to capture the beauty Balboa Park has to offer, Christopher dropped to one knee and delivered the sweetest proposal we have ever seen. We are so honored to have captured such a wonderful moment between two of the most amazing gentlemen.
