Erica and Ryan Micro-Wedding – Private Estate

2020 wedding plans have changed but love and commitment have not. After four years together, Erica and Ryan were thrilled to be hosting their “Big Fat Greek-Mexican Wedding” with over 200 guests this year, but COVID-19 had other plans. Instead of postponing their nuptials, Erica and Ryan decided to evaluate what was most important about their big day. After Ryan lost his father a few months earlier in January 2020, he and Erica both agreed that family was everything, life is too short, and they just wanted to be married!

They shifted their wedding plans to a lovely 10-person plus virtual affair in the backyard of Erica’s mother’s stunning Del Mar estate followed by a family pool party in place of the reception in all the funnest tiki style ceremony and details. Ryan’s late father made a presence at their wedding in the form of his guitar. Just as his father would have in real life, the guitar stood behind Ryan during the entire ceremony and joined family photos later on as well.

When we asked Erica & Ryan their favorite thing about one another, they agreed “we love how we can be our weirdest versions of ourselves with one another”. We LOVE that! We hope that everyone could be so lucky to find someone to join them in their weirdness! Eventually Erica & Ryan plan to have their big traditional wedding, but for now, they are happy to be in love and MARRIED!!
