Any Pixar movie, UP, fans out there? Us too! Cathy and Marc are quite literally the real life Ellie and Carl Fredricksen from Pixar classic. So much so, they decided to theme much of their wedding on the charming movie. They had a custom cake from VG Doughnuts & Bakery with character toppers. Their guest book was a large print of the UP house where their guests got to sign in each balloon. Their Adventure Book was on display with memories from all their travels together. Marc even surprised Cathy with pinning a grape soda bottle cap pin to her dress during the ceremony. These sweet touches spoke volumes throughout the day.

When we asked Marc his favorite thing about Cathy, he said he adores how easy going she is – always willing to go with the flow and happy to go along for the ride. Cathy loves how funny Marc is. She says he is the most thoughtful and generous person she has ever met. He brings flowers home for no reason, if someone needs help, he is the first to lend a hand. After having to reschedule their wedding several times during the pandemic, it was finally time for Cathy & Marc to celebrate! They hosted their destination wedding at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on the San Diego bay and had their children and their spouses as their wedding party. Surrounded by friends and family, they were most excited to present their love for one another and then party it up Leong style! After the ceremony, guests were encouraged to change into something casual and just be comfortable. Cathy and Marc opted for Hawaiian attire, including custom Vans shoes. This was such a sweet day for an even sweeter couple.
