We’re so used to seeing the doting bride so after meeting Matt & Shanice, it was refreshing to see a doting groom! Matt’s focus was that everything was perfect for Shanice. As long as it was perfect for his bride, it was perfect for him. Similar to other couples, Matt & Shanice hoped for a stress free wedding day, surrounded by the people closest to them that was still uniquely theirs. They pulled off the most perfect day! Instead of a typical engagement session, they opted for a crisp studio session before their wedding day. Not only was it so much fun going back to my high fashion photo days on the set of DK3 Studios, but capturing portraits before the wedding made for a smooth photography schedule on their wedding day. Once July 28th, 2018 rolled around, Matt & Shanice were overjoyed for their wedding day! 45 of their closest family and friends came to witness their union at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in San Diego. After their ceremony, we headed to the iconic Sunset Cliffs for some natural couples portraits before attending their reception dinner at Seasons 52 in La Jolla. Shanice carried a silk bouquet of flowers made by her Grandmother and she and Matt made their own Tic-Tac guest gifts. Their day was full of love and laughter and it was an honor to capture such a special day for this special couple.
