I shot an engagement session for Jenn and Nik over three years ago, and through the magic of facebook, we’ve stayed connected despite their move to Ridgecrest. I was excited to hear that they are pregnant, but beyond excited when Jenn told me they would make their way to San Diego for a maternity session. They stayed at the Solamar Hotel, and we were able to take advantage of the awesome rooftop pool lounge. I loved the morning light, it’s like the roof held us up to the rays. Being huge Giants fans, they scheduled to be there for a few Giants v. Padres games, so we made our way down to Petco Park for some new and classic baseball backdrops. Accompanying us around the park was their sweet dog, Cassie. She was a very good girl, and added to the family fun. We finished off the session with a special shot. Nik noticed in the last pose that he looked like a catcher, so he flashed the number one with the possibility of a future photo with a two… I’m really looking forward to that one!
